About Vitalize’s Deployments Platform
Vitalize’s ability to scale is directly correlated to how fast we can deploy. Every new customer requires configuration and integration work that is still too manual, bespoke, and engineering-dependent. That’s the bottleneck — and this role exists to eliminate it.
Deployments at Vitalize aren’t “implementation.” They’re a product: an internal platform + tooling + workflow that determines our time-to-go-live, headcount per deployment, and ultimately revenue capacity. The goal is to make deployments as close to self-serve SaaS as possible: fast, repeatable, and scalable without linearly growing the team behind them.
The Role (TL;DR for Why and Why Now)
As a Senior Product Engineer, you’ll own the internal platform that deploys new health systems onto Vitalize. You’ll build the configuration infrastructure that can represent the full complexity and variance of enterprise health systems — and the tools that let Deployment and Customer Success teams operate end-to-end without engineering in the loop at every step.
What You’ll Do
Over the next 12–24 months, you’ll:
Build the platform that models the real-world complexity of enterprise health systems (org structures, job codes, pay rules, scheduling constraints, etc.) — and makes that complexity configurable and safe.
Turn messy health system context into structured configuration by building workflows, UI, and validation that make it fast to go from “discovery” to “working configuration.”
Create click-to-configure integrations so adding a new integration is repeatable and operator-driven (not a custom engineering project each time).
Build a self-service configuration portal that enables hospital IT teams to map and validate their “digital twin” of workforce data (org structures, cost centers, job families, scheduling rules) without Vitalize in the loop.
Systematically replace manual steps, tribal knowledge, and engineering dependencies with tooling that makes deployments fast, repeatable, and reliable.
Ship end-to-end: you’ll do product thinking, technical design, implementation, rollout, and iteration by sitting with internal users and observing how work actually gets done.
What You’ll Bring
You’ve shipped internal platforms that operators depend on — not just tools that technically work, but systems that replaced the way a team operates. You know what it takes to go from manual + bespoke to scalable + self-serve.
On the technical side:
3+ years shipping production software in a product-focused engineering role (ideally fast-moving B2B SaaS)
Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Postgres, with experience across the stack
You scope and deliver complex features end-to-end — from technical design through production — without a lot of hand-holding
You raise the floor around you: readable code, better systems, direct feedback that helps
Product instinct for internal users: you’ve watched operators work and built tooling that replaces manual processes rather than layering on top
Customer orientation: you’re comfortable talking with customers directly and letting what you learn shape what you build
You might not be the right fit if:
You find it hard to stay motivated on work that isn’t directly visible to customers or celebrated externally. The leverage here is real, but it shows up in deployment metrics and operational efficiency.

Prior work building configuration systems, workflow builders, or deployment tooling for enterprise software
