Return to jobs listSenior Manager – ControllershipJob type: Full Time · Department: Finance · Work type: On-SiteMumbai, Maharashtra, India Job detailsApplication formAbout the Role:As a Senior Manager – Controllership at CleverTap you’ll play a critical role to own end-to-end Order-to-Cash, Global Payables, Controllership, and Compliance operations across CleverTap’s multi-entity global structure. In this role, You will run the Global Controllership Algorithm and Compliance Calendar with zero missed timelines, drive AI-led transformation across finance operations, and act as a hands-on operating partner to the CFO on treasury, tax, ESOP, and the ongoing Reverse Flip restructuring.What will you do :Order to Cash & Global PayablesOwn end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) operations, including invoicing, collections, overages, contract billing, and reconciliations.Manage global payables, vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and inter-company transactions across geographies.Drive AI-led automation across billing, collections, customer queries, and payment workflows.Ensure compliance with global payment regulations, statutory deductions, and approval frameworks.Controllership & ComplianceManage global controllership, ensuring timely financial close, reporting, and execution of key finance processes.Manage statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance across all global entities with zero compliance breaches.Coordinate internal, external, and statutory audits while maintaining robust SOPs and internal controls.Drive global tax planning, compliance, and process improvements.Payroll, ESOP & Equity ManagementHandle accurate and compliant payroll across all regions.Manage global ESOP administration, cap table, valuations, and equity accounting.Ensure investor, M&A, and due diligence readiness for equity-related matters.MIS, Treasury & Cost ManagementDeliver monthly MIS, Board reports, investor reporting, and business performance insights.Manage global treasury, FX, banking relationships, and inter-company funding.Drive reporting automation, cost optimization, and customer profitability analysis.Corporate Restructuring & Transfer PricingLead finance workstreams for Reverse Flip, mergers, and corporate restructuring initiatives.Manage transfer pricing, cross-border tax planning, and global regulatory compliance.Support IP structuring, POEM/PE assessments, and post-restructuring finance integrationWhat are we looking for ?Must Have:Chartered Accountant, or equivalent finance qualification, with 4-7 years of post-qualification experience in a Global SaaS/technology companyHands-on experience owning order-to-cash and global payables operations at scale, across multiple entities and geographiesDemonstrated ownership of a controllership function – structured activity calendars, compliance tracking, and audit readinessWorking knowledge of India and cross-border tax and regulatory frameworks: GST, TDS, RBI/FEMA, MCA, and withholding tax regimesExposure to ESOP administration, cap table management, and business valuation coordination (409A / Rule 3(viii))NetSuite or equivalent ERP experience – hands-on, not just oversightMumbai-based or willing to relocate; WFOGood to have :Experience with corporate restructuring, Reverse Flip, mergers, NCLT processes, and cross-border regulatory compliance.Knowledge of transfer pricing, treasury management, FX exposure, hedging, and working capital planning.Experience building compliance frameworks for multi-entity, global organizations.Exposure to AI-led finance transformation and automation of finance processes.Ability to build SOPs, mentor teams, drive process improvements, and manage audit and close-cycle pressures effectively.Who will you report to: Director - FinanceWhy join usContribute to a product backed by 11 technology patents, showcasing industry-leading innovation.You are passionate about technology and its impact on the high-growth mobile technology spacePower personalized engagement at scale, processing...
