As a Human Resources Manager, you’re not just overseeing daily operations of the hotel’s HR function – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Oversee daily HR operations: With the Director of HR, handle key HR functions, including recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, labor relations, compliance, safety, and performance management, ensuring compliance with corporate HR policies and federal/local regulations
- Foster team member engagement: Lead employee relations initiatives such as recognition programs, special events, and engagement activities to create a positive workplace culture
- Manage HR systems and compliance: Oversee team member data management, track employment transitions, generate reports, and process unemployment claims
- Lead and develop the team: Coach, supervise, and mentor HR team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build a motivated and high-performing team
