This vacancy is for a GS-0343-13, Management and Program Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, LANTAREA RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DIVISION -8 in PORTSMOUTH, Virginia.
You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst and be responsible for serving as a Program and Management Analyst for new and established projects, programs, and systems by planning and executing work to accomplish objectives, developing guidance for program functions, managing strategic priorities, and assisting in action plan development to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Planning and coordinating the development, consolidation, review, and approval of programs and budgets to support projects, programs, and systems within assigned program areas Developing practical, reliable, time-sensitive, and cost-effective recommendations for accomplishing team and individual projects and special tasks; formulates and adjusts concepts, methodologies, work plans, and milestone schedules as needed.. Assessing, developing, and evaluating program processes and products managed within the organization.. Analyzing and monitoring program and resource utilization to identify actual or potential problems, trends, deficiencies, or areas of imbalance. Preparing charts, summaries, and narratives to support performance evaluations.
