The Financial Analytics Professional 2 manages data to support and influence decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues. You may possess a financial, actuarial, mathematics, or statistics background for this role.

The Financial Analytics Professional 2 within the Medicare Risk Adjustment Finance Department supports financial forecasting, performance monitoring, and strategic decision-making through the development, execution, and maintenance of risk score analytics. You will be responsible for running a monthly risk score model to predict current-year risk scores, updating reporting displays with model results, and identifying month-over-month drivers of change.

You will use tools such as SQL, Python, and Visual Studio Code to perform modeling, analyze results, and maintain model accuracy over time. You will translate findings into clear insights and communicates the financial impact of risk score changes to business partners and leadership.

You will also support ongoing model enhancement by identifying outdated assumptions and incorporating updated data or methodology. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex model outputs in a business-relevant way.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years' technical experience
  • Programming skills in languages such as SQL and Python
  • Experience in compiling, modeling, interpreting and analyzing data in order to identify, explain, influence variances and trends
  • Explain variances and trends and enhance modeling techniques
  • Experience in managing data to support and influence decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues
  • Willing to travel to Louisville, KY <5% of the time (if not local)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$66,800 - $91,100 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
