What will you do?

  • Provide direct leadership and accountability for materials results and administration within the plant materials team.
  • Own delivery performance, inventory control, material control process improvements, supplier planning, and warehouse management.
  • Lead short-term and mid-term scheduling activities and monitor production plan and schedule accuracy.
  • Expedite material, set priorities, and resolve supply issues to support daily production needs.
  • Track on-time delivery and support operations at the lowest practical cost and inventory level.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning on capacity requirements and with Procurement on material cost reduction initiatives.
  • Coordinate cycle counts, physical inventories, receiving, warehousing, shipping, and outside processing inventory movement.
  • Manage inbound and outbound transportation activities and support safe material handling resources.
  • Work with Supplier Quality on vendor quality acceptance processes.

  • Take ownership of outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity in every materials decision and daily action.
  • Stay close to the work by understanding production needs, watching flow at the point of impact, and removing obstacles quickly for internal customers.
  • Use clear priorities and disciplined follow-up to keep material shortages, schedule changes, and warehouse issues from affecting customer commitments.
  • Improve every day by challenging recurring issues, using facts to solve problems, and strengthening inventory and planning processes.
  • Win as one team by partnering with Supply Planning, Procurement, Supplier Quality, warehouse, and production colleagues to reach the best outcome.
  • Use accurate documentation, timely communication, and strong operational routines to maintain control across receiving, storage, movement, and shipping activities.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in materials operations, supply chain, production planning, warehouse management, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage delivery performance, inventory control, and materials flow in support of production.
  • Experience coordinating scheduling activities, expediting material, and resolving supply disruptions.
  • Strong understanding of cycle counts, physical inventories, receiving, warehousing, and shipping processes.
  • Ability to partner effectively with Procurement, Supply Planning, Supplier Quality, and operations teams.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a high level of attention to detail and a focus on safe, reliable execution.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with capacity requirements planning.
  • Exposure to inventory control process improvement, excess or obsolete inventory disposition, or staffing and people development.
  • Experience coordinating inbound and outbound freight or approved carrier activity.
  • Experience supporting supplier quality acceptance processes.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations in a plant or manufacturing setting.
