**Summary:** As a Hardware Electrical Engineer at Meta, you will design, develop, and integrate innovative electrical systems for a wide range of applications, from next-generation consumer hardware to large-scale infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and manufacturing experts—to deliver impactful solutions. Your work may span the full product or system lifecycle, from early prototyping and feasibility studies to large-scale deployment and operational excellence.You will be part of a dynamic environment that values technical rigor, rapid iteration, and creative problem-solving. **Required Skills:** Power Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Own electrical development of complex subsystems or moderately complex systems, under guidance from technical leads or managers 2. Lead schematic design, board layout, and cross-functional design reviews 3. Propose innovative solutions to enhance system or product performance, reliability, and features 4. Manage hardware bring-up, debugging, and support for manufacturing, assembly, or deployment 5. Evaluate vendor reference designs and adapt them to Meta’s requirements 6. Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers 7. contribute to team knowledge sharing 8. Work autonomously and take initiative to manage individual and team priorities 9. Collaborate in a distributed team environment and across engineering disciplines 10. Contribute to operational excellence, compliance, or specialized requirements as relevant to the team’s mission **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 11. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field, and/or equivalent practical experience 12. 6+ years of experience in electrical design, with a demonstrated track record of delivering/shipping high-volume products and/or working in research, prototyping, or early-stage development environments 13. Demonstrated expertise in designing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems or subsystems 14. Proficiency in interpreting and creating electrical schematics, designing physical layouts (e.g., PCBs or panel/plant layouts), and/or performing hardware/system bring‑up and debug at the lab or field level 15. Experience collaborating across engineering disciplines and with external partners or vendors **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 16. Experience with hardware and software power optimization techniques 17. Demonstrated experience leading technical direction across teams 18. Experience with power regulators including SMPS and LDOs 19. Experience identifying, defining and solving multidisciplinary problems 20. Demonstrated experience leading analog and power system architecture, charging architecture, chipset selection, and system integration for the battery powered products 21. Experience characterizing power consumption, battery run time, and battery charging/discharging curve at the device level 22. Proficiency in presenting complex data effectively to both technical staff and leadership alike 23. Experience with battery-powered consumer devices (wearables, phones, IoT preferred) 24.
