Manager, Credit Review QA & Reporting
The Credit Review Group is a third line of defense function that evaluates credit quality, risk ratings, and the effectiveness of credit risk management across the enterprise. It provides objective, risk-based insights to the Board of Directors and Senior Management, helping identify emerging risks, ensure adherence to risk appetite and regulatory expectations, and support the overall safety and soundness of the credit portfolio.
Job Description
The QA & Reporting Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading the Quality Assurance program for the Credit Review Group, providing independent assessment of review quality, consistency, and adherence to established methodologies and standards. Reporting to the Director of Practices & Operations, this role will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity and independence of the Credit Review process and identifying opportunities to enhance effectiveness and consistency across the organization.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Partner with Credit Review leadership to develop, implement, and continuously enhance the Credit Review Quality Assurance framework.
- Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of Credit Review activities, including periodic reviews, event-driven reviews, and continuous monitoring activities.
- Evolve KPI and OKR reporting to provide visibility into organizational performance, quality trends, and execution against strategic priorities.
- Oversee issue management tracking and reporting activities, including validation of issue remediation and closure.
- Identify themes, trends, and opportunities for improvement through analysis of QA results, issue management data, and performance metrics.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation, reporting, and coordination as needed.
- Support regulatory examinations and related requests, including preparation of materials and coordination of responses.
- Prepare and support Board and Management reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with established standards.
- Partner with stakeholders across Credit Review to promote consistency, adherence to methodology, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 4+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Credit Review, Quality Assurance, or independent risk management functions within a large financial institution.
- Demonstrated experience assessing adherence to policies, procedures, methodologies, and control frameworks.
- Experience developing reporting and analytics, including KPI and performance measurement frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership audiences.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a complex, matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing and maturing quality assurance frameworks within new or evolving functions, including driving change management and stakeholder adoption of new processes and requirements.
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations, internal audits, or issue management programs.
- Strong reporting and data analysis skills, including experience with reporting and visualization tools.
