About the team and the role:
The Search team creates discovery experiences that help customers find the right inventory quickly and confidently. This engineering role will support eBay integration modules and surfaces within Search, helping connect inventory and experiences across platforms in ways that feel intuitive and valuable to users. You will work with product, design, and backend partners to build search-facing features that support strategic integration goals. Based in Amsterdam, this role appears to have multiple openings in the source file.
What you will accomplish:
Build and improve search experience modules and surfaces that support eBay integration goals.
Collaborate with backend, ranking, and indexing teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end search experiences.
Translate product and design requirements into performant, maintainable search-facing implementations.
Improve customer discovery through experimentation, iteration, and attention to usability and relevance.
Contribute to engineering quality through testing, code reviews, and operational best practices.
Learn and grow in a collaborative search environment with exposure to multiple parts of the search stack.
What you will bring:
Experience building customer-facing software in a product engineering environment.
Strong coding skills and an understanding of modern frontend, full stack, or experience-layer development practices.
Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and design functions.
Interest in search, discovery, relevance, or marketplace user experiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability.
