Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our die-cast manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. You'll work in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility alongside a collaborative team dedicated to minimizing downtime and supporting production goals.

Shift Schedule (2nd shift):

  • 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of die-cast production equipment and related machinery.
  • Complete preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and component replacements as needed.
  • Assist production teams in maintaining efficient workflow and equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed work.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent maintenance experience may be considered in place of formal education.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or die-cast environment preferred.
  • Technical high school or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Dependable attendance and flexibility to support production schedules.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Familiarity with die-cast manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment is a plus.
  • Basic welding or fabrication experience is beneficial but not required.
