What you will do:

As an EHS Engineer, you will support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the company's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and management systems. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with company EHS standards, legal requirements, and customer expectations, while promoting a safe and healthy working environment across all assigned sites.

How you will do it:

  • Implement and maintain the company's EHS Management System, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements, ensuring all EHS documentation, records, procedures, permits, and registers are accurately maintained and kept up to date.

  • Monitor compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, customer, and company EHS requirements by conducting workplace inspections, site assessments, and compliance reviews, and supporting regulatory inspections and customer audits.

  • Support project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders in managing workplace risks through the development, review, and implementation of Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and other risk control measures.

  • Investigate accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, occupational illnesses, and environmental incidents, prepare investigation reports, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Coordinate and participate in EHS audits and assessments, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ConSASS, Global CAP, internal audits, customer audits, and other EHS evaluations, while ensuring timely closure of audit findings and non-conformities.

  • Plan, coordinate, and support EHS training and awareness programs, including employee orientation, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, contractor training, and safety campaigns to promote a strong safety culture and workforce competency.

  • Monitor EHS performance indicators and incident statistics, analyse trends, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to improve EHS performance, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

  • Support the implementation of emergency preparedness and response programs, including fire prevention activities, emergency response planning, evacuation exercises, and emergency drills to enhance readiness and effectiveness.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, subcontractors, clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment with EHS requirements and promote continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance.

  • Provide day-to-day EHS support to assigned projects and workplaces, including identifying unsafe conditions and behaviours, recommending corrective measures, stopping work where there is imminent danger, supporting EHS committee activities, and performing other EHS-related duties as assigned by management.

What we look for:

  • Degree or Diploma in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Environment Control Officer (ECO) certification.

  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

  • Experience in construction, engineering, HVAC, facility management, or related industries is an advantage.

  • Strong communication, investigation, problem-solving, audit and stakeholder management skills.
