The Manufacturing Technology Engineer is responsible for Provide technical and project leadership in developing and deploying equipment and process technology for new product development, cost reduction and quality improvement.
This position reports to the Manufacturing Technology Manager and is part of the Advanced MFG Technology Engineering located in Pall TKB Plant and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Identify, specify and implement new manufacturing technologies, processes or equipment (30%).
Develop and support manufacturing equipment improvement projects i.e. safety, quality, reliability etc. (30%).
Support the product development portfolio and facilitate the deployment of the DBS Growth & Lean tools (20%).
Define and standardize on Pall/industry best practice for our core competency manufacturing processes (10%).
Provide day-to-day manufacturing equipment support for Operations & Engineering team (10%).
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Possesses fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and chemistry at the level of an engineering degree holder (No need to hold qualification of bachelor degree).(A bachelor's degree is not required; high school graduates are acceptable if they have acquired bachelor's level fundamental knowledge through subsequent work experience.)
- Has experience in summarizing the requirements specifications for new equipment, defining specifications for implementation, and commissioning the equipment. Alternatively, has experience in improving existing equipment, such as productivity improvement, quality improvement, or safety improvement.(This is not about work experience where you only need to understand the procedures, such as commissioning off-the-shelf products; it requires experience in defining specifications and commissioning equipment that matches its purpose and intended use.)
- Has work experience in one of the following fields: medical devices, chemical equipment, aerospace, or microelectronics.(The field of experience is limited; medical or semiconductor is preferred, but the scope is broad.)
- Can use basic business tools such as Microsoft Office.(At a minimum, you must be able to use MS Office.)
- Possesses the ability to perform business in Japanese and communication skills equivalent to those of a native Japanese speaker.(At TKB, you must be able to communicate with Japanese people on an equal footing (including understanding nuances to a certain extent) to work effectively.)
- Ability to read and write in English using AI or other assistive tools.And, no aversion to English (English will be required for work, you will need to learn it after joining the company).(It's okay if you don't know English from the start. It's also OK if you haven't worked in English before. However, since English will be required for work, you will need to learn it after joining the company. People with an aversion to English are not eligible.)
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Able to travel globally/domestically in support of role objectives (estimated at 10% - 15%).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Good oral and written communication English skills both up and down the organization especially technical.
Computer literate (SAP, Microsoft Office software, Project Management, Statistical Analysis).
CAD, able to generate conceptual and detailed drawings in Autodesk Inventor.
Formal training, qualification and proven experience in Six Sigma techniques would be advantageous.

応募要件
- 工学系学位者レベルの、電気、機械、化学の基礎知識を有すること。
(大卒資格は不要、高卒でも同等の知識と経験があれば可)
- 新規装置の要求仕様をまとめ、具現化するための仕様決め、及び装置導入立ち上げの経験を有する。あるいは、生産性改善、品質改善、安全性改善等、既存設備の改善業務の経験があること。(既成品の立ち上げ等の、手順さえ理解すればできる仕事経験ではなく、装置の用途、及びその使用目的に合った装置の仕様決め、立ち上げ経験があること)
- 半導体、医療機器、化学装置、航空宇宙、マイクロエレクトロニクス分野いずれかにおける業務経験があること。
- Microsoft Officeなどの、基本的業務ツールを使用できること。
- 日本語での業務遂行能力、日本人と同等のコミュニケーション能力を有する。(ある程度のニュアンスもくみ取れること）
- 英語での読み書きが、AIやその他の補助ツールを使用して可能であること、および、英語に対し、抵抗がないこと。(最初から英語はできなくてもよい。また、これまで英語を使っての仕事をしたことが無くてもＯＫ。ただし、英語での仕事は必要となるため、入社後に学習してもらう必要あり。英語にアレルギーを持っている人はＮＧ)

- 国内外への出張が可能であること（目安：10～15%）
