The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.Responsibilities:The AVP serves as a key contributor to the PACE Central Team, with a primary mandate to bolster technical oversight, drive automation, and ensure stringent compliance across middleware infrastructure engineering and vulnerability management. A core responsibility of the role is providing robust governance for Middleware Vulnerability Management (VTM) and Vulnerability Assessment (VA) remediations, ensuring service application tenants are successfully patched. The AVP will lead and implement automation strategies for VTM patching across Service Applications in pre-defined GZ environments, significantly reducing external and third-party risks for internet-facing applications. Developing self-service automations to reduce Mean Time to Production (MTP) and foster a consistent patching model is also a critical deliverable. The role demands rigorous oversight of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), scrutinizing root causes of delays and systemic issues to prevent future recurrences. The AVP will prioritize compliance requirements — including BCM, VTM, and EOVS remediations — and promptly escalate any SLA slippage on VTM KPIs to senior management.Manage a team of Applications Development professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, training and development, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as act as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analystsOversee process for technical issue escalation and prioritize technical issue resolutionLeverage skills across Applications Development area to provide technical oversight across systems and applicationsCommunicate internal and external departmental interdependence as well as cross product and cross projectResolve issues using in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within applications developmentUtilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgementContribute to planning, budget management, formulation of procedures, and resource planning negotiating with external parties when necessaryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Recommended Qualifications:5-8 years of relevant experienceExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsAbility to take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projectsExperience with dependency management, change management, continuous integration testing tools, and audit/compliance requirementsExtensive knowledge of software engineering and object-oriented designDemonstrated leadership and management skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationEducation:Bachelor’s...
