Job Description

This internship with North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) provides a supervised, hands-on learning experience for graduate students in College Counseling and Student Development (CCSD) or a related field. The role focuses on developing core student affairs competencies while supporting underrepresented, first-generation, and income-eligible students.

Salary Range:

$15 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a graduate program in College Counseling & Student Development (CCSD) or a related field.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of student development theories and counseling techniques, with the ability to apply them in practice.

  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Ability to support and engage diverse student populations using inclusive and culturally responsive practices.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills.

  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of students and employees at all times.

  • Takes initiative on tasks that need to be completed.

Work Shift

Monday - Wednesday

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
