This internship with North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) provides a supervised, hands-on learning experience for graduate students in College Counseling and Student Development (CCSD) or a related field. The role focuses on developing core student affairs competencies while supporting underrepresented, first-generation, and income-eligible students.
Salary Range:
$15 per hour
Minimum Qualifications
Enrollment in a graduate program in College Counseling & Student Development (CCSD) or a related field.
Demonstrated knowledge of student development theories and counseling techniques, with the ability to apply them in practice.
Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to support and engage diverse student populations using inclusive and culturally responsive practices.
Excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills.
Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of students and employees at all times.
Takes initiative on tasks that need to be completed.
