Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Pre Anesthesia Testing RN you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care within a dynamic healthcare environment. You'll contribute directly to CHI Health's mission by providing expert direct and indirect nursing care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes across the age continuum. This includes identifying crucial care needs for surgical, procedural, and diagnostic patients, evaluating appropriate care levels, and initiating vital anesthesia orders. Join our dedicated Central Scheduling Surgery team and become a key contributor to efficient and compassionate patient journeys.

 

Every day you will leverage your expertise to facilitate seamless patient experiences. This involves collecting comprehensive clinical histories, evaluating diagnostic findings, and applying online scheduling and nursing documentation programs. You'll be responsible for providing essential patient information, preparation, and education for impending procedures, fostering positive relationships with physicians and their staff, and acting as a vital liaison for patients, families, and the patient care team. Your focus on customer service and ease of access to hospital services will be paramount in this fast-paced role.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing, holding current BLS-CPR certification. You'll demonstrate exceptional critical thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and proficient computer abilities, able to manage diverse workloads and resolve patient concerns effectively. Your commitment to maintaining confidentiality, adhering to all Joint Commission, federal, and state regulations, and upholding ethical standards will be essential, ensuring the highest quality of care for every patient.
