RRBB Accountants + Advisors is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. We are seeking a Senior Client Advisory Accountant to join its growing Client Advisory Services (CAS) team. This role is ideal for a public accounting professional who enjoys partnering directly with clients, solving complex accounting challenges, and delivering high-quality financial reporting and advisory services. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical accounting background, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about building trusted client relationships while supporting businesses across a variety of industries.
Essential Functions
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Assist clients with SEC reporting requirements, including preparation and review of Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting memorandums supporting accounting conclusions.
Provide guidance on debt and equity transactions, including related accounting and financial reporting requirements.
Assist clients with the implementation and application of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance.
Support audit engagements by preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring compliance with PCAOB standards.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing timely communication, financial reporting guidance, and proactive recommendations.
Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines.
Collaborate with internal team members and client leadership to identify process improvements and enhance financial reporting.
Work with clients across a variety of industries, including biotechnology, technology, manufacturing, and other corporate organizations.
Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
3–5 years of public accounting experience in audit, consulting, client advisory services (CAS), or outsourced accounting.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statement preparation, and SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
Experience researching and documenting complex accounting matters through technical accounting memorandums.
Understanding of debt and equity accounting, with exposure to PCAOB audit requirements.
Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements while providing exceptional client service and communication.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency with accounting software such as CaseWare, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
CPA license or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
Experience with mergers & acquisitions, transaction advisory services, or Quality of Earnings (QoE) engagements.
Experience serving clients in biotechnology, technology, manufacturing, or other corporate industries.
Please Note - Work Arrangement
This role is designated as hybrid/on-site for employees located within commuting distance of our Somerset, NJ office. Candidates who reside outside the defined commuting area may be eligible to work remotely, subject to business needs and applicable employment requirements.
