Operations Buyer – Exterior/Fasteners Commodity

As an Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for managing suppliers, executing procurement processes, and supporting cost and supply chain objectives. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, cost competitiveness, and quality compliance for assigned commodities.

• Release purchase orders for prototype, production, and tooling requirements
• Manage supplier performance and ensure timely delivery to meet production schedules
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and engineering change impacts with suppliers
• Drive annual cost reduction initiatives and track savings
• Support capacity planning to meet vehicle and powertrain demand
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply
• Manage and resolve supplier claims, including:
• Obsolescence
• End-of-program settlements
• Warranty recoveries
• Support resourcing activities and supplier audits (e.g., quality and compliance audits)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and quality

• Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• MBA or Master’s degree (preferred)

• Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in:
• Purchasing / Procurement
• Strategic sourcing or commodity management
• Automotive supply chain (preferred)
