A Day in the Life

This position has been created to work within the Commercial Strategy function of Enterprise Accounts to support the Cardiovascular, Medical Surgical & Neuroscience Portfolios. This position supports Medtronic’s commercial programs, by developing best practice operating procedures, creating standardized pricing and modelling templates, assisting in developing and tracking contract KPIs for key Strategic and Corporate accounts, modelling market share in order to maximize Medtronic share of wallet and leading the analysis of available data to provide a greater level of insight on the performance of Corporate and Enterprise Accounts.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Supporting the Senior Commercial Manager of Enterprise Accounts to execute the Enterprise Accounts commercial strategy by:

  • Leading the development of compelling financial modelling and pricing templates to support our group level contract proposals & drive ease of financial analysis. Create analysis to provide greater insight into the deal metrics, profitability and viability.

  • Leading the development of market share reporting, market models & the analysis of the data to ensure it is being used to understand the market, identify incremental revenue opportunities and drive contract performance.

  • Advanced level use of MS excel & Power BI and comfort in using GSR and other data platforms to extract data to:

    • Support and continuously improve the reporting and dashboards to allow Strategic Account Managers and Corporate Accounts Managers to access timely and accurate results to measure deal effectiveness. These dashboards also support sales leaders across the organization in monitoring deals and contracts.

    • Continue to support best practice rebate accrual and reporting processes by providing coaching and development to the offshore Rebates team based in Shanghai and running workshops to develop and upskill the local team.

    • Set up monthly, quarterly and annual contract performance reporting, including forecasts of business potential for major Strategic Customer contracts.

  • Champion the use of AI tools to rapidly interrogate datasets, generate insights, and support scenario analysis. Act as a bridge between business users and data/AI capabilities, translating commercial questions into analytical solutions.

  • Building the strategy deck for business reviews internal and external customers in collaboration with the Enterprise Accounts team including the Senior Enterprise Accounts Director. The decks contain financial performance (graphs and analytics) challenges and opportunities to drive business growth.

  • Working across various departments and systems, including Finance, Customer Service and Sales Teams on projects and to resolve issues which impact contract and sales performance.

  • Implementing continual process improvement and task standardisation to your day-to-day work

  • Supporting ad hoc reporting and commercial analysis requests in a responsive manner

  • Reduce the complexity for the Strategic Account and Corporate Account Managers by providing excel models, dashboards and commercial insight to enable fast decision making.

  • Engage with specific customers on commercial models, market share data and analytical review of performance.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Advanced of MS Office suite of software. Advanced Excel skills and intermediate PowerPoint skills are a pre-requisite.

  • Tableau, PowerBI and other data analytics programs experience.

  • Use of AI tools and agents to enhance workflows and automate analysis and data reviews.

  • SAP and GSR experience are highly desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in devising and implementing process improvement projects

  • Project planning skills an advantage but not a pre-requisite

  • Experience with the CRM platform Salesforce.com is an advantage
