If you're looking for a hands-on role where you can advance your skills, work on complex systems, and make a real impact, this is the opportunity for you.Is This You?If the following statements resonate with you, this role might be a great fit:A proactive, driven self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.Someone who enjoys solving mechanical challenges and working on cutting-edge marine technology.Comfortable jumping from project to project and working under pressure.An analytical problem solver who enjoys diagnosing and repairing complex engine systems.A skilled marine technician looking for an opportunity to apply your expertise with MTU engines.Someone who values teamwork and enjoys collaborating with professionals across multiple industries.About the Role:In this role, you will:Work directly with marine clients, supporting our company’s continued growth in the San Francisco Bay Area.Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on MTU engines in various marine applications.Conduct sea trials and verify engine performance, making necessary adjustments as needed.Maintain service records and documentation to ensure operational efficiency.Provide guidance, assistance, and training to apprentice marine technicians.Travel within the assigned region and occasionally outside the area, including potential international assignments.Preferred Work Experience and Attributes:We are looking for someone with:5+ years of experience in high speed marine engine repair (MTU, Detroit Diesel, Mitsubishi, CAT, John Deer, Cummins, and/or EMD) Experience with MTU MCS/RCS electronics and Diasys software (preferred).Experience with tools and technical diagnostics.Strong laptop/PC skills for diagnostics and software applications.Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and read service manuals.A passion for working within a cross-functional team environment in a dynamic industry.Other Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent (technical schooling is a plus).Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and ability to be insured.Own set of mechanic tools.Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is a plus.Ability to complete company-provided manufacturer training (online and in person).Travel & Mobility:Frequent travel within an assigned territory (AOR), with potential travel outside the region.Salary & Benefits:Salary: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
