Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Software Engineer specializing in Quality Systems to drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our software quality assurance processes and tools. This role involves leading a team to ensure the highest standards of software reliability, performance, and security across all our products.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead and mentor a team of Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Define, implement, and maintain robust software quality assurance strategies, methodologies, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications and systems.
* Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools.
* Collaborate closely with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure quality is embedded from concept to deployment.
* Identify, analyze, and document software defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
* Establish and track key quality metrics and provide regular reports on software quality performance.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for software quality.
* Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to development teams on potential quality issues.
* Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance our quality systems.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead engineer role.
* Proven experience in designing and implementing robust QA processes and strategies.
* Strong expertise in various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance, security, integration).
* Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG).
* Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
* Solid understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and common programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
* Experience with database testing and SQL.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
* Fluency in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
