About the role 

The Mechanical Engineer will execute elements of product development activities and testing. Responsible for enhancing commonality and optimization of product and components.

  

Key Responsibilities 

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Manage elements of product development activities including cost estimates, implementation of standard specifications, drawing board layout and interpretation, and development of performance or maintenance requirements.
     
  • Execute test and qualification for systems, sub-systems, and components. Review test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications.
     
  • Enhance commonality and optimization of product & components.
     
  • Test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operating condition effects and necessity of modification.
     
  • Produce parts, specifications, designs, or sketches for machines, components, systems or work orders / purchase requests
     
  • Work with quality clinic and related departments to support the test and verification of field issues.

  

Requirements 

We are looking for people who are analitical and experience dealing with managers and stakeholders. If this is you, get in touch. 

As a minimum you must have:

  • Advanced English.
  • Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a university degree, combined with experience.
     
  • BOM Knowledge.
     
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
     
  • University Degree or equivalent a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
     
  • Knowledge of refrigeration systems.
     
  • Reading and interpretation of electrical diagrams.

      

    Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: 

    • HVAC background experience.
