Accountabilities:
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable software solutions tailored to client objectives and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, and integrate APIs to enable seamless communication between systems while improving application performance and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineering teams, conducting code reviews, establishing best practices, and guiding architectural decisions.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand business goals, communicate technical approaches, and adapt solutions based on evolving needs.
- Design, configure, and maintain DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes to support reliable software releases.
- Investigate technical challenges, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement effective solutions while minimizing project disruptions.
- Adapt across different types of projects, including software architecture, API development, DevOps initiatives, and ongoing engineering support.
- Promote engineering excellence by sharing knowledge, exploring emerging technologies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- 7–10+ years of software engineering experience, ideally within a consulting environment or cross-functional product development team.
- Proven experience architecting, building, maintaining, and scaling modern software applications across multiple platforms.
- Strong background developing consumer-facing web and mobile applications, with expertise in relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs, creating API specifications, and managing complex system integrations.
- Ability to build and maintain DevOps solutions, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and automation workflows.
- Strong scripting experience with technologies such as Unix shell, Ruby, Perl, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPNs, SSH, Wi-Fi, and troubleshooting network-related issues.
- Strong security mindset with the ability to identify risks and design resilient solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage client expectations, influence technical decisions, and motivate teams toward successful delivery.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, organizational skills, and a passion for software engineering craftsmanship.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and staying current with evolving technologies.
- Bonus experience includes technical diagramming, public speaking or technical education, independently released applications, or familiarity with emerging technologies such as Go, Rust, Alexa, or Unity.
- Competitive annual salary range of $115,000 - $160,000 USD.
