This is a field-based technical and customer-facing role combining hands-on spray painting expertise with commercial and relationship management responsibilities across the New South Wales territory. You will act as a key technical advisor to distributors and end-users, supporting product adoption, system implementation, and application excellence. The role involves demonstrating innovative coating solutions, delivering training, and ensuring customers achieve optimal performance from products and systems. You will work closely with both existing accounts and new prospects to grow market presence while strengthening long-term partnerships. This is a highly autonomous position requiring strong technical credibility, customer engagement skills, and the ability to manage a diverse territory. Accountabilities:

    • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to distributors and end-users, showcasing both new and existing solutions to drive adoption and usage.
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute system trials with target customers to validate performance and support product positioning.
    • Install and support paint systems and related equipment, including mixing machines and colour tools, ensuring correct application and setup.
    • Provide ongoing technical, colour, and application support to distributors and customers, resolving issues and ensuring optimal product performance.
    • Deliver training sessions for both new and existing users to ensure proper understanding and application of products and systems.
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve technical application queries raised by customers or distributors in a timely and effective manner.
    • Promote product usage and expand the customer base by building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the territory.
    • Requirements:

      • Trade qualification in automotive spray painting, with at least 4 years of hands-on industry experience.
      • Proven experience working with customers, distributors, or commercial partners within the automotive refinishing or coatings industry.
      • Strong technical understanding of spray painting systems, applications, and colour matching processes.
      • Competent in using Windows and Microsoft Office tools for reporting, communication, and customer management.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train, influence, and support a range of stakeholders.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a regional territory independently.
      • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work autonomously in a field-based role.
      • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the NSW region.
