Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced, results-driven, and highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to join the Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) engineering team supporting the Engine Control Unit (ECU) program. In this role, you will lead cross-functional engineering projects, driving execution from planning through delivery by managing schedules, budgets, technical risks, and stakeholder communication. You will help ensure projects remain on track while supporting the development of next-generation aerospace technologies.
What You Will Do:
- Develop, maintain, and execute integrated project plans, schedules, and budgets while monitoring performance to ensure cost, schedule, quality, and technical objectives are achieved.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities, drive alignment, facilitate communication, and support timely decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. These teams will be located at our campuses in West Palm Beach, FL; East Hartford, CT; and Puerto Rico.
- Prepare and present project status updates, performance metrics, and program reviews to the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and leadership, while maintaining detailed project schedules in an Agile environment.
- Lead and facilitate regular Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings to promote collaboration, accountability, and successful execution of program objectives.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies by developing effective mitigation strategies and driving solutions that support cost, schedule, and technical performance goals.
- Collaborate closely with program leadership and your direct manager to communicate project progress, motivate cross-functional teams, remove execution barriers, and ensure successful delivery of key program milestones.
- Travel at 10% (Domestic and International).

Qualifications You Must Have:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM discipline and 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience: Leading engineering projects or technical programs within the Aerospace industry.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience collaborating with Structures and Design engineering teams.
- Military engine development experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Teamcenter, SAP, or similar project management tools.
- Experience supporting Externals Module Center programs or comparable aerospace propulsion programs.

Department / Segment Overview:
Mechanical Systems, Externals, & Nacelles (MSEN): The MSEN organization is responsible for the design, development, and in-service support of power transmission systems, bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis, oil and thermal management systems, engine externals packaging and architecture, as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, System Modeling, Mechanical Design analysis for bearings, gears, and seals, and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
