Software Engineering Technical Leader

We are a highly motivated, startup-like team within a global organization, combining the impact and resources of Cisco with the agility and camaraderie of a smaller group. **Your Impact** + Lead, coach, and develop 8-12 developers building shared real-time media platform components, APIs, and cross-platform runtime layers. + Set direction through goals, priorities, planning, weekly check-ins, 1:1s, and follow-up. + Own execution, delivery predictability, quality gates, operational health, and agile continuous improvement. + Manage people growth, performance feedback, development plans, individual performance factor recommendations, salary-review input, hiring, and retention. **Minimum Qualifications:** + MSc (or equivalent) in Software Engineering or a related fiel + 10+ years of professional software engineering experience + 3+ years as an engineering manager or formal people leader for software development teams + Strong C/C++ background + Native platform, real-time, or performance-sensitive software experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with media streaming, real-time media platforms, conferencing, and relevant protocols. + Experience leading cross-platform media platform architecture, patterns, and build tools. + Experience growing senior engineers through feedback, delegation, mentorship, and career development. + Strong agile delivery leadership across planning, prioritization, risk management, and retrospectives. + AI responsibly and ensures AI-generated code is critically reviewed. **Why Cisco?** At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
