Accountabilities:

    The Senior Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex clinical studies, ensuring projects meet quality, financial, regulatory, and operational objectives. Key responsibilities include:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation partner for clients, providing strategic guidance and proactive issue resolution.
    • Lead the coordination of cross-functional clinical trial activities, including oversight of internal teams and external vendors to ensure delivery against timelines and budgets.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, risk identification, mitigation strategies, and change management processes.
    • Manage study budgets, project profitability, forecasting, billing accuracy, and financial performance while identifying and addressing scope changes.
    • Partner closely with clinical operations and functional teams to ensure seamless execution of trial activities and consistent delivery standards.
    • Establish performance metrics and reporting frameworks to monitor study progress, team productivity, quality indicators, and key project outcomes.
    • Prepare and present project updates, status reports, key performance indicators, risks, and recommendations to clients and senior leadership.
    • Lead internal and external project meetings, align stakeholder expectations, and ensure effective communication across all study teams.
    • Drive quality management activities, including inspection readiness, quality issue resolution, corrective and preventive action planning, and compliance oversight.
    • Ensure study-specific training requirements are implemented and maintained throughout the duration of assigned projects.
    • Apply expertise in oncology research, pharmaceutical and/or medical device studies, and clinical trial operations to support successful program delivery.
    • Support business development activities, including client presentations and bid defense meetings when required.
    • Provide mentorship, feedback, and performance input for team members while promoting accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced clinical research professional with strong project management capabilities and expertise in oncology trials. Required qualifications and skills include:

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a science, healthcare, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
      • Minimum of 7 years of clinical research experience, including at least 4 years of direct clinical project management experience.
      • Proven experience managing complex global clinical trials and cross-functional study teams.
      • Strong background in oncology research, with experience in cell and/or gene therapy studies preferred.
      • Radiopharmaceutical trial experience strongly preferred.
      • Experience working within a clinical research organization or similar regulated research environment.
      • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, clinical research standards, and quality requirements.
      • Demonstrated expertise in project planning, risk management, change management, and strategic execution.
      • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire multidisciplinary teams while fostering ownership and accountability.
      • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
      • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and a client-focused mindset.
      • Experience using clinical trial technologies and project management tools, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, eTMF, EDC, and CTMS platforms.
      • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including occasional overnight stays.
