Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an HVAC Maintenance Mechanic, under the direct supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, you will maintain our facility's environmental systems.Daily, you will assist with general maintenance, installation, and repairs of expansion units, chilled water fan cool units, refrigeration equipment, and pneumatic/electronic control systems. You'll handle both routine and emergency tasks, ensuring a comfortable, safe, and functional environment.Success in this role requires strong HVAC knowledge, practical repair experience, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to uninterrupted system performance.- Monitors, trouble shoots and customizes the HVAC Energy Management system to optimize energy. Saving’s, lower equipment down time and repair costs through energy management and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Monitors contract services that provide, install or repair equipment associated with the HVAC, Boiler, Chiller and Refrigeration.
- Completes inspections of all mechanical systems and equipment according to established procedures completing log sheets, checklists and PM sheets as required.
- Completes inspections of all refrigeration systems and equipment according to established procedures completing log sheets as required.
- Completes required documentation in reference to mechanical systems as required by federal, state and regulatory agencies.
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems and equipment.
Job Requirements
Required- Other Apprenticeship program, upon hire or
- Associates Other and 5 years commercial HVAC experience, upon hire
- HVAC License: KY, upon hire
