Accountabilities:
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support audit preparation and external accounting relationships.
- Transition accounting responsibilities from existing support resources and establish scalable finance operations.
- Optimize finance systems and automation tools to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and integrations across accounting, payroll, banking, billing, and reporting workflows.
- Improve reporting capabilities through KPI dashboards, recurring financial analysis, and executive-level insights.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to help leaders make informed business decisions.
- Design and document scalable finance processes that support future growth.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and operational effectiveness.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
- Proven experience owning or leading monthly close processes and financial operations.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting controls.
- Experience improving finance systems, workflows, and operational processes.
- Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and financial analysis.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, automation, and modern finance technologies.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with SaaS, technology companies, venture-backed organizations, or high-growth environments is a plus.
- Experience implementing or optimizing finance platforms and accounting systems is highly valued.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Competitive salary range of $135,000 - $175,000 USD for U.S.-based applicants, with final compensation based on experience.
