This position is located in the Office of Behavioral Intervention (OBI) within CSOSA. OBI oversees a complex array of evidence-based assessments, evaluations, and cognitive behavior interventions, as well as innovative practices, and case management services that collectively are designed to mitigate recidivism risk factors, quickly match offenders to appropriate services, and sustain positive change throughout the offender's supervision lifecycle and continuum of care. Serves as the Deputy Associate Director of the Assessments, Evaluation, and Placement Unit (AEPU) responsible for oversight of the enterprise-wide assessments of offenders and re-entry programming for returning citizens. Conducts and oversees psychological studies, evaluations, and resource-utilization analyses; prepares findings and recommendations for agency leadership. Plans, develops, and manages psychological and behavioral-health programs, including risk-needs-responsivity (RNR) initiatives, psycho-diagnostic services, and evidence-based interventions for high-risk populations. Oversees budget planning, resource allocation, staffing projections, and quality-improvement activities to support behavioral-health and offender-care programs. Prepares long-range program plans, technical reports, and justifications for resources, facilities, and program development needs. Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to supervisors and managers; supervises GS-14 staff; and ensures compliance with performance management, safety, and equal employment opportunity requirements. Coordinates clinical and administrative operations across multiple programmatic venues and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective integration of services.
