HVAC Site Operative – Data Centre Projects
Are you a hands-on HVAC professional looking to work on some of the most exciting data centre projects?
We are looking for a HVAC Site Operative to join our team supporting the installation, maintenance, and operation of critical cooling and building services systems within mission-critical data centre environments.
Working alongside experienced HVAC, Chiller, Air Conditioning, and Building Services technicians, you will play an important role in ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant, and operational at all times.

This position will be based in Eskilstuna, Sweden, with responsibility for supporting customer sites across Västerås, Eskilstuna, and Norrköping. Travel between these locations will be required as part of the role,
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC and cooling systems.
- Replace filters, perform cleaning, and undertake general maintenance of Air Handling Units (AHUs).
- Assist Senior HVAC Engineers with fault finding, reactive repairs, and remedial works.
- Support minor HVAC installation projects, including air conditioning and heating systems.
- Ensure plant and equipment operate efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain high standards across customer facilities and project sites.
- Deliver Site-Specific Risk Assessments (SPAs) and Toolbox Talks as required.
- Follow all site safety procedures, policies, and permit-to-work systems.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-skilled team supporting data centre projects.
Who You Are
- Hands-on, reliable, and safety-focused.
- Proactive with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in fast-paced project environments.
- A strong team player with good communication skills.
- 2+ years' experience in HVAC, building services, facilities management, or a similar technical role.
- Experience with HVAC maintenance, servicing, and basic repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Driving licences
Desirable:
- Experience working on data centre, industrial, or other critical infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, Split AC, VRV/VRF, boilers, and pumping systems.
- Relevant certifications such as IPAF, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, LOTO, or Arc Flash.
