Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to manage and maintain a large install base of computers running various operating system. In this role, you will design the computing infrastructure, provides technical assistance and consulting to users, deploys new servers and clients, maintains each system and the respective services, monitors and troubleshoots the environment for problems, develops tools for managing the system, and makes all services available to users.
Role responsibility
- Own the availability, performance, and reliability of site infrastructure —servers, storage, virtualization, backup
- Plan, implement, and monitor infrastructure changes; maintain capacity for site growth and new-project ramp-ups
- Implement and enforce IT security policy locally; run internal security checks and support and internal audits
- Manage identity and access, patching, data protection, and secure remote / hybrid access
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of IT experience
- Strong hands-on knowledge on either Linux OS or Windows, be understanding on storage, data backup, networking, Oracle DB
- Solid understanding of IT / information-security practices and experience supporting security or compliance audits
- Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with semiconductor company infrastructure: built Converged Infrastructure systems, and high-performance storage
- Experience operating within a multi-site or global IT organization
- Good English, both oral and reading/writing, for day-to-day communication with global teams and clients
