Accountabilities:
- Manage and support SMP/E processes for mainframe software installation, maintenance, and updates.
- Configure and work with z/OSMF and REST APIs to support software management activities.
- Perform installation, customization, and troubleshooting of z/OS and ISV software components.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and REXX to improve operational efficiency.
- Support software testing activities, including functionality, robustness, and performance validation.
- Work with Git and USS/OMVS environments to manage code, configurations, and system processes.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues related to mainframe software environments and integrations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement improvements and maintain best practices for enterprise systems.
- Support IBM software and mainframe ISV customization activities according to business requirements.
- 5+ years of experience working with mainframe technologies and enterprise systems.
- Strong expertise in SMP/E software installation and maintenance processes.
- Hands-on experience with z/OSMF and REST APIs for software management.
- Strong knowledge of z/OS environments, ISV software installation, and customization.
- Experience with USS/OMVS and Git workflows.
- Proficiency in Python and REXX scripting for automation and operational tasks.
- Experience performing software testing, including functional, reliability, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of IBM software products and mainframe ISV solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with technical teams.
