GDIT is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator Principal to join our team. The candidate is expected to have extensive experience in managing a full range of contracts in support of the U.S. Department of War.
HOW A CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Administers a broad portfolio of U.S. Government prime contract, task orders, modifications, and subcontracts throughout the contract lifecycle
- Reviews and negotiates contractual terms and conditions while ensuring compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), agency supplements, and company policies
- Supports proposal activities by reviewing solicitations, identifying contractual risks, preparing contract exceptions, and ensuring proposal compliance
- Advises program management on contractual requirements, obligations, risks, and business considerations
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and other contractual documents
- Coordinates contract awards, modifications, funding actions, and close-out activities with internal and external stakeholders
- Provides contractual guidance to program managers, finance procurement, pricing, legal, and business development organizations
- Reviews customer correspondence and prepares contractual responses, notification, and other required documentation
- Maintains contract files, records, and reporting in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements
- Participates in customer meetings, negotiations, program reviews, and internal management briefings as required
- Identified contractual risk and recommends practical solutions that support both customer requirements and business objectives
- Ensures contract actions are completed accurately and within established deadlines
- Coordinates approval of negotiations, contracts, and subcontracts with appropriate management staff
- Maintains current knowledge of acquisition regulations, contractual practices, and industry trends
- May provide guidance mentorship to less experienced contracts professionals
- Performs other related duties and special projects assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, contract management,, public administration, or related field
- Experience: 8+ years of experience administering U.S. Government contracts
- Role requirements:
- Experience supporting DoW and/or Federal Government contracts
- Experience with contract negotiations, modifications, proposal support, and contract administration
- Experience interpreting and apply contractual terms, FAR, and applicable agency supplements. Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARs, and other agency supplements, as applicable.
- Strong understanding of government contract administration principles and practices
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate contractual matters with customers and business partners
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across functional organizations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound business judgement
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using contract management systems is preferred.
- Location: This role requires working onsite at our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA. Must be comfortable working onsite (5) days a week.
