Oracle is seeking a Vice President, Product & Engineering. This leader will own the product management and engineering execution required to turn transformation research in areas as diverse as healthcare, agriculture and robotics initiatives into scalable products and platforms.

The role will lead cross-functional product and engineering teams focused on productizing opportunities emerging from Oracle's engagement with cutting edge research organizations, particularly in areas involving OCI, AI infrastructure, scientific computing, data platforms, autonomous laboratories, genomics, healthcare, life sciences, robotics, and regulated AI-enabled workflows.

This VP will be accountable for taking concepts from strategy and research alignment into technical architecture, roadmap definition, engineering delivery, product readiness, launch planning, and operational scale. The role requires a leader who can manage both product managers and engineers, work closely with OCI and Oracle Health product organizations, and build execution discipline across technically complex, compliance-sensitive initiatives.

The role will deliver solutions that combine AI, robotics, cloud services and advanced research work into world-changing outcomes. The goal is to create real world solutions for some of the world’s most pressing challenges!

Product and Engineering Leadership

  • Lead product management and engineering teams responsible for building and productizing cutting edge research into advanced AI and robotics driven products.

  • Own product vision, technical strategy, engineering roadmap, delivery milestones, staffing plans, and release execution for assigned initiatives.

  • Translate scientific, clinical, AI, data, and infrastructure requirements into scalable product architectures and engineering plans.

  • Build high-performing teams across product management, software engineering, cloud architecture, data engineering, AI/ML engineering, platform engineering, UX, security, and program management.

  • Establish engineering operating rhythms, including roadmap planning, sprint or milestone execution, design reviews, architecture reviews, launch readiness, and post-launch support models.

Productization and Platform Development

  • Turn early-stage concepts into repeatable products, platforms, services, reference architectures, APIs, or venture-ready technology assets.

  • Define product requirements, customer use cases, technical requirements, success metrics, MVP scope, and long-term roadmaps.

  • Identify reusable platform components that can advance research work while also creating broader Oracle offerings for life sciences, healthcare, research institutions, biotech, diagnostics, agriculture, and AI-native scientific organizations.

  • Ensure products are built with enterprise-grade standards for scalability, reliability, observability, security, data governance, compliance, and supportability.

OCI, AI, and Scientific Computing Execution

  • Own engineering delivery for OCI-based capabilities supporting high-performance compute, GPU workloads, AI model training, genomics pipelines, scientific data lakes, lab telemetry, automation, and regulated healthcare or life sciences workloads.

  • Partner deeply with OCI engineering, infrastructure, AI, database, storage, networking, security, and product teams to align requirements and accelerate delivery.

  • Create technical bridges between partner research programs and Oracle product teams, ensuring that the most valuable requirements become durable product capabilities rather than one-off custom work.

  • Support the development of reusable cloud-native patterns for autonomous labs, sequencing workflows, biomolecular foundation models, AI-driven diagnostics, lab automation, and scientific data platforms.

Commercial Readiness

  • Work with Oracle’s CEO to determine which technical capabilities should become Oracle products, co-developed solutions, managed services, partner offerings, or venture-backed opportunities.

  • Contribute engineering and product diligence for new venture concepts, including feasibility, build-versus-partner analysis, technical risk, staffing, timeline, cost, and scalability.

  • Work with go-to-market, sales, consulting, legal, finance, and corporate development teams to prepare selected products for commercialization.

  • Ensure that product and engineering teams build with a clear view of customer adoption, deployment model, pricing implications, support model, and long-term operating ownership.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Serve as the accountable delivery leader for product and engineering workstreams across Oracle and advanced research partners.

  • Create clear decision frameworks for prioritization, resource allocation, product scope, technical dependencies, and launch readiness.

  • Ensure projects move from research alignment to engineering execution without getting stuck between strategy, science, product, and commercial teams.
