Accountabilities
- Own and continuously improve financial planning and analysis processes, including forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling.
- Build and maintain sophisticated driver-based financial models that support executive decision-making, strategic planning, and business performance analysis.
- Partner with operational and business leaders to translate key performance indicators into financial insights and actionable recommendations.
- Lead monthly financial close collaboration with accounting teams, including variance analysis, revenue reconciliation, and management reporting.
- Prepare executive, investor, and board-level financial materials with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and strategic relevance.
- Support corporate development activities, including valuation analysis, due diligence processes, and financial modeling for potential transactions.
- Analyze service-based business economics, including utilization, project margins, revenue timing, and headcount-driven financial performance.
- Drive automation, standardization, and scalability across FP&A processes to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
- Mentor finance team members and contribute to the continued development and maturity of the FP&A function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA, CPA, or CFA designation is considered an asset.
- 6+ years of progressive FP&A experience, or 8+ years for Senior Manager level, ideally within a public company, technology, SaaS, professional services, or high-growth environment.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Experience with financial planning tools such as Adaptive, Pigment, Anaplan, or similar platforms, along with BI and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition principles, and public company financial reporting requirements.
- Experience analyzing pricing, margins, business performance, and operational economics.
- Demonstrated ability to own processes end to end, combining attention to detail with strategic thinking.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly to executives and non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience supporting M&A, corporate development, private equity-backed organizations, or high-growth companies is highly valued.
- A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to build, improve, and scale financial processes in a dynamic environment.
- Competitive salary range of CAD $190,000–$225,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
