Accountabilities:
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Red Hat Satellite Server environments across multiple enterprise systems.
- Partner with customers and technical stakeholders to ensure configurations align with Red Hat best practices, security standards, and business requirements.
- Perform Red Hat Satellite upgrades, patching, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
- Develop automation tools, scripts, and procedures to improve system administration efficiency and consistency.
- Implement and manage Satellite-based provisioning, patch management, monitoring, and configuration management processes.
- Design, develop, and support automated Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server builds and deployment workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex Red Hat Satellite issues by analyzing system information, including SOS reports and operational data.
- Ensure infrastructure configurations meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system procedures, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and enhance infrastructure reliability.
- Lead knowledge transfer sessions and provide technical guidance to support successful transition of responsibilities.
- Support the full implementation and sustainment lifecycle of Red Hat Satellite solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Red Hat Satellite administration experience.
- Proven experience implementing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Red Hat Satellite Server environments.
- Experience performing Red Hat Satellite upgrades in large enterprise or government environments.
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, automation, provisioning, patching, and configuration management.
- Experience developing automation solutions using scripts and operational tooling.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and analyze diagnostic reports.
- Experience creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration guides.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and customers.
- Experience delivering knowledge transfer sessions or technical training is preferred.
- Red Hat Linux certification such as RHCSA or RHCE is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen currently possessing an MBI due to federal contract requirements.
