As a Backend Engineer, you will work in one of the product teams by providing services and solutions that would help millions of users.
Some of the things we expect you to do with us include:
🧩 Solve Complex Challenges: Partner closely with the team to analyze core problems and develop targeted hypotheses to address them.
🧪 Drive Innovation through Experimentation: Validate ideas using iterative development and a "fail-fast" mindset to find the best solutions quickly.
🌐 Shape Backend Strategy: Collaborate with the wider Backend community to execute and promote key strategic initiatives from our roadmap.
🤝 Enable Cross-Team Alignment: Coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure our technical solutions are delivered effectively and on time.
🚀 Champion Best Practices: Actively participate in the Backend guild to maintain high technical standards and consistency across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
💻 Technical skills
- Real Time Alerting: Strong expertise in building and maintaining real-time alerting systems.
- Backend Expertise: 5+ years of experience in backend development, specializing in high-scale distributed systems.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with deep experience in microservices (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
- Containers & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, ECS, or Docker Swarm.
- Data Streaming: Experience with stream processing tools, specifically Kafka.
- System Architecture: Deep understanding of system architecture, microservices design patterns, and performance optimization.
- Engineering Best Practices: Strong advocate for SOLID principles, security, testing, observability, and scalability.
- CI/CD & Git: Advanced expertise in Git workflows for large-scale codebases and CI/CD pipelines.
- Agile Methodology: Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Ownership & Drive: Self-starter and detail-oriented professional capable of delivering projects with minimal supervision.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with a track record of collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
