System Specialist - Meta Robotics Studio

This role bridges hardware and software — ensuring subsystems work together reliably, defining requirements, driving cross-functional collaboration, and delivering robust, scalable solutions for device validation and reliability testing. You will serve as a key technical liaison across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams. **Required Skills:** System Specialist - Meta Robotics Studio Responsibilities: 1. Architect and integrate robotic systems, subsystems, and test stations for device validation and reliability 2. Define system-level requirements and specifications, translating customer and infrastructure partner needs into actionable product requirements 3. Lead proof-of-concept projects to evaluate enabling technologies and subsystems 4. build and test prototypes 5. Develop systems architecture for robotic platforms including manipulators, sensing, controls, and network connectivity 6. Solidify and stabilize core robot functionality — sensing, controls, uptime, and communication interfaces 7. Drive cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, manufacturing, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle 8. Actively manage issues, risks, and schedules 9. participate in usability testing and design reviews 10. Develop documentation, best practices, and standards for system integration 11. Mentor and guide engineers in integration practices and systems thinking 12. Influence technical strategy and roadmap for systems integration across the organization **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 13. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 14. Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 15. 10+ years of professional experience in systems engineering, systems integration, test station design, or robotic system development 16. Experience with robotic platforms (e.g., ROS/ROS2) and integration of robotic algorithms (path planning, motion control, sensing, localization) 17. Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for system-level development and automation 18. Experience with characterizing and evaluating electromechanical systems 19. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex integration projects from concept through production 20. Experience communicating technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences (engineering, operations, non-technical stakeholders) 21. Track record of defining technical direction and influencing organizational strategy **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 22. Experience with rapid prototyping, hardware/software co-design, and manufacturing handoff processes 23. Familiarity with reliability testing, validation frameworks, and design-for-test methodologies 24. Experience optimizing design of existing products or devices for production at scale 25. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies 26. Knowledge of sensing technologies (distance sensors, IMUs, cameras), localization, and navigation 27. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) 28. Experience prioritizing work based on impact and deadlines, and taking ownership of deliverables through completion 29. Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments at a hardware + software intersection 30. 12+ years of experience in systems integration or robotic system development 31. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) 32. Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Robotics, or a related field 33.
