The opportunity
As an Operations & Project Portfolio Manager, you will lead the execution, governance, and performance of a portfolio of strategic projects within the energy sector, with a strong focus on transmission, substations, and grid integration. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, drive operational excellence, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
This is a senior leadership role where you will influence business performance across multiple countries in Latin America, partnering with customers, internal stakeholders, and project teams to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and project outcomes. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a dynamic organization while developing high-performing teams and shaping business strategy.
How you'll make an impact
- Lead a portfolio of transmission, substation, and grid integration projects across the region.
- Drive operational performance, project execution, and customer satisfaction.
- Define project priorities, resource allocation, and execution strategies.
- Monitor project financial performance, schedules, risks, and staffing plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and operational challenges.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary project and operations teams.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Drive initiatives that improve profitability, productivity, and project delivery.
- Support business growth and strategic objectives throughout Latin America.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Your background
- Electrical Civil Engineer or Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Mandatory).
- MBA or Master’s Degree in Business Management.
- PMP Certification.
- 15+ years of experience in multinational companies within the energy sector.
- 5+ years leading operations and project portfolios related to transmission, substations, or grid integration (Mandatory).
- Professional experience working in Peru and across Latin America.
- Fluent English (Mandatory).
- Proven track record of improving profitability, safety performance, and project delivery.
