Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking a Receptionist to join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hotelier to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day
As a Receptionist, you will deliver refined Front Office services that ensure a seamless and exceptional Guest journey from arrival through departure, including the completion of audit procedures as required. As a key contributor to the hotel’s first and lasting impressions, you are expected to perform all responsibilities with the utmost professionalism, precision, and adherence to luxury service standards.
- Resolve Guest enquiries promptly and effectively, ensuring positive outcomes at all times
- Deliver a seamless and efficient reception experience, including check‑in, check‑out, and audit procedures, as required
- Ensure the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors are fully informed of relevant Guest feedback and interdepartmental communications
- Consistently demonstrate warm, attentive, and anticipatory Guest service
- Participate in required training initiatives and support the development of the Night Team when applicable
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and hotel offerings to support daily operations
- Maximise room occupancy through refined upselling and personalised promotion of hotel services and facilities
- Process foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash accurately and in strict adherence to the hotel’s credit and financial policies
- Comply fully with hotel security protocols, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation
- Operate Front Office systems and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Uphold company brand standards consistently across all Guest interactions
Support other hotel departments as required to ensure seamless service delivery
What are we looking for?
Receptionists serving Hilton brands consistently act in the best interests of our Guests while collaborating seamlessly with fellow Team Members. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the following qualities and capabilities:
- Previous experience in a customer‑focused or service‑driven environment
- Completion of secondary education or equivalent
- A positive, composed, and professional attitude with clear communication skills
- A strong commitment to delivering elevated levels of Guest service
- Impeccable grooming, presentation, and personal conduct
- The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Competent IT proficiency across standard office and Front Office systems
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous experience handling cash or managing financial transactions
- Prior experience within a luxury or ultra‑luxury hospitality or service‑led environment is highly desirable.
