Learn more at experianplc.com Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our C&VS CI Nexis team who is based in Hyderabad, India to work with colleagues in India and the UK to deliver business outcomes for the UK&I region. You will join a small technical team, whose agile practices are still maturing, where you will work with the Enineering Manager and other team members to update, secure and migrate categorisation and analytical models from an aging Microsoft Azure estate to AWS using the latest technologies to he highest technical standards.Key responsibilities: • Design, develop, maintain, and support scalable software applications, APIs, and cloud-native services using modern engineering and DevOps best practices across AWS environments. • Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, deployment, and release processes, ensuring faster and more reliable software delivery. • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to support scalable and repeatable infrastructure provisioning. • Support and enhance cloud infrastructure, containerized workloads, and orchestration platforms using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS within AWS environments. • Work within Agile delivery teams, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement and engineering excellence. • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve system stability and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with risk, security, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (GDPR, PCI DSS etc.), internal governance standards, and cloud security policies.  QualificationsExperience of the full development lifecycleStrong communication skills with the ability to explain solutions to technical and non-technical audiencesWrite clean, scalable and re-usable code that implements SOLID principles, common design patterns where applicable and adheres to published coding standardsExcellent attention to detail, ability to analyse, investigate and compare large data sets when required.4 to 8 or more years of programming using Python3 or more years of developing with Azure cloud services3 or more years of programming using Terraform/3 or more years of Container technologiesRegular use of GenAI-assisted development toolsBDD / TDD experienceCI / CD experienceApplication Lifecycle Management Tools - BitBucket & JiraAdvantageous experience:AWS knowledgeHarness/ ADOCursor and/or GitHub CopilotWould consider alternative skills and experience:Java or .NET (rather than Python)Cloud Formation (rather than Terraform)Additional InformationOur uniqueness is that we celebrate yours.
