We are hiring for Medical Laboratory Scientist position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full-time, 0.9 FTE, 12-hr Variable shifts, 36 hours per week.

The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist conducts clinical diagnostic testing for inpatients, outpatients, and residents, including specimen processing. Phlebotomy may be required. Performs quality control procedures on patient tests and laboratory equipment to ensure accurate diagnostic results. Documents patient results in the medical record and directly notifies medical staff when results require immediate communication.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Within 1 year of hire: National Laboratory Medical/Clinical Scientist/Technologist 
  • Within 30 days of hire: Provider BLS - American Heart Association 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years work experience in a clinical laboratory.
  • Phlebotomy skills
