Job Responsibilities
- Analyze consumer and dealer/channel credit performance to identify key drivers of approval rate, booked volume, loss rate (incl. early loss), and profitability; translate findings into strategy recommendations.
- Build, refine, and maintain credit decisioning strategies (policy rules, cutoffs, segmentation) with a clear view of risk–growth–P&L trade-offs.
- Design and support test-and-learn / challenger strategies to measure incremental impact, document assumptions, and recommend scale/rollback decisions.
- Support credit policy execution and governance by maintaining underwriting guidelines, decisioning logic documentation, and risk control frameworks aligned to business priorities.
- Partner cross-functionally (Risk, Underwriting, Finance, Product, Ops, Tech) to implement strategy changes in decisioning workflows/systems and track outcomes to targeted portfolio metrics.
- Monitor portfolio and dealer/channel trends for emerging risks (mix shifts, dealer behavior, macro impacts) and recommend mitigation actions consistent with risk appetite.
- Communicate insights and proposals to US stakeholders with clear, structured narratives and defensible analytical support.
- Contribute to special projects related to portfolio optimization, decisioning process improvement, and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
4–7 years of experience in retail/auto credit decisioning, underwriting, or credit policy execution (bank/fintech/credit analytics organization).
- Hands-on Python and SQL skills (comfortable with data pulls, joins/aggregations, basic analytics, and synthesizing results into recommendations).
- Strong understanding of consumer credit risk concepts and how underwriting/decisioning changes impact portfolio outcomes (approval rate vs loss rate vs growth/profitability).
- Strong logical reasoning and structured problem solving; able to make clear assumptions and produce defensible decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work directly with US-based stakeholders and operate effectively across time zones.
- Team-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience with decisioning engines / rules-based platforms (any), rule governance, and operationalizing policy changes.
- Experience running challenger rules/testing, experimentation frameworks, or structured “test-and-learn” programs.
- Familiarity with portfolio monitoring approaches (vintage/cohort analysis, roll rates, early delinquency indicators, segmentation performance).
- Prior experience in fintech/banking environments or a statistics/quant background.
- Proven stakeholder management across time zones; ability to write crisp updates and decision memos.
