Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze consumer and dealer/channel credit performance to identify key drivers of approval rate, booked volume, loss rate (incl. early loss), and profitability; translate findings into strategy recommendations.
  • Build, refine, and maintain credit decisioning strategies (policy rules, cutoffs, segmentation) with a clear view of risk–growth–P&L trade-offs.
  • Design and support test-and-learn / challenger strategies to measure incremental impact, document assumptions, and recommend scale/rollback decisions.
  • Support credit policy execution and governance by maintaining underwriting guidelines, decisioning logic documentation, and risk control frameworks aligned to business priorities.
  • Partner cross-functionally (Risk, Underwriting, Finance, Product, Ops, Tech) to implement strategy changes in decisioning workflows/systems and track outcomes to targeted portfolio metrics.
  • Monitor portfolio and dealer/channel trends for emerging risks (mix shifts, dealer behavior, macro impacts) and recommend mitigation actions consistent with risk appetite.
  • Communicate insights and proposals to US stakeholders with clear, structured narratives and defensible analytical support.
  • Contribute to special projects related to portfolio optimization, decisioning process improvement, and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

4–7 years of experience in retail/auto credit decisioning, underwriting, or credit policy execution (bank/fintech/credit analytics organization).

  • Hands-on Python and SQL skills (comfortable with data pulls, joins/aggregations, basic analytics, and synthesizing results into recommendations).
  • Strong understanding of consumer credit risk concepts and how underwriting/decisioning changes impact portfolio outcomes (approval rate vs loss rate vs growth/profitability).
  • Strong logical reasoning and structured problem solving; able to make clear assumptions and produce defensible decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work directly with US-based stakeholders and operate effectively across time zones.
  • Team-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Experience with decisioning engines / rules-based platforms (any), rule governance, and operationalizing policy changes.
  • Experience running challenger rules/testing, experimentation frameworks, or structured “test-and-learn” programs.
  • Familiarity with portfolio monitoring approaches (vintage/cohort analysis, roll rates, early delinquency indicators, segmentation performance).
  • Prior experience in fintech/banking environments or a statistics/quant background.
  • Proven stakeholder management across time zones; ability to write crisp updates and decision memos.
