Accountabilities
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for payments, prioritizing and delivering improvements across checkout, subscription billing, payment methods, upsell and downsell experiences, and billing infrastructure.
- Define, monitor, and optimize key performance metrics such as checkout conversion, authorization rates, subscription rebill success, chargeback ratios, and average order value to guide product decisions.
- Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests to continuously improve payment and billing experiences while making data-driven prioritization decisions.
- Write detailed product specifications, coordinate cross-functional execution with engineering and design teams, oversee QA activities, and manage successful feature launches.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with payment orchestration providers, payment processors, acquiring banks, and alternative payment partners while supporting integrations, routing optimization, and processor performance.
- Oversee payment operations by monitoring transaction health, resolving billing issues, improving dispute and chargeback processes, and maintaining operational documentation and procedures.
- Develop dashboards and reporting using analytics tools to communicate payment performance, product impact, and business insights to stakeholders.
- Partner with data, finance, customer experience, and compliance teams to improve attribution, revenue reporting, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- 5+ years of product management experience focused specifically on payments, billing, checkout, or subscription payment systems.
- Demonstrated success delivering product enhancements that improved conversion, customer experience, or revenue through measurable business results.
- Strong understanding of payment processors, acquiring banks, payment orchestration platforms, authorization flows, settlement processes, and transaction optimization.
- Experience working with subscription-based direct-to-consumer businesses, high-growth startups, or digital commerce environments, preferably within healthcare, wellness, or telehealth.
- Proven ability to integrate AI-powered tools, coding assistants, agentic workflows, or large language models into product development processes.
- Experience managing payment vendors, service-level agreements, processor onboarding, and operational payment performance.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience building dashboards, interpreting data, conducting funnel analysis, and supporting business reporting using tools such as Looker, BigQuery, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical and executive audiences.
- Experience with experimentation platforms, fraud prevention, risk operations, compliance, lifecycle communications, or billing-related marketing technologies is considered an advantage.
