NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Administrator Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of federal and defense customers. You will play a crucial role in designing, securing, and maintaining resilient network architectures that enable uninterrupted communication and real-time data sharing.
● Lead/Manage/Support manage complex enterprise network designs, implementations, and upgrades across multi-enclave environments to ensure modern, secure, and highly available IT capabilities for tactical and strategic operations.
● Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and military or civilian stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges and strengthen interoperability.
● Drive network performance monitoring, execute routine maintenance and patching, lead Tier-II and Tier-III troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex outages, and ensure strict infrastructure compliance with federal cybersecurity mandates.
● Utilize advanced network management tools, routing and switching protocols, and firewalls to sustain deployment efficiency, strict security compliance, and overall infrastructure health.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Administrator Senior must have:
● Education: Must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or possess equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
● Experience: 3+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: Must design and optimize high-availability enterprise networks using advanced protocols like OSPF and BGP; configure next-generation firewalls and secure VPNs to defend critical infrastructure against cyber threats;
must leverage SolarWinds to automate configuration management, monitor performance, and rapidly resolve network issues.
● Security clearance level: Must possess a current Secret Clearance or Higher
● Role requirements: Familiarity with implementing Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guides (DISA STIGs) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) is highly desirable.
