The Opportunity

Premiere's desktop app is undergoing a major technical overhaul. This includes rebuilding the video pipeline, migrating GPU support across platforms, and integrating on-device AI features within the editing timeline. These changes must resonate with professional editors and creators.

In your role as a Product Manager on the Realtime Experience team, you act as the bridge between engineering work and workflow. You will build detailed, hands-on insight into the team’s development. You will also understand how Premiere Pro customers edit, recognize product slowdowns or issues, and know what improved performance means for users with urgent deadlines.

This role requires genuine technical curiosity and strong customer empathy. You will keep a cross-functional team moving. You will work closely with engineering to prioritize and scope work. You will contribute to roadmap decisions based on real use cases. You will ensure meaningful infrastructure progress results in a product customers love.

What you'll Do

  • Connect engineering priorities to customer outcomes by developing working proficiency in video modernization, GPU migration, and on-device AI initiatives—and linking each achievement to concrete workflow improvements users will actually notice.
  • Own customer workflows for the Realtime Experience area, engaging often with professional editors and creators to gain a detailed and current insight into performance struggles and priorities.
  • Build and maintain a 6–9 month roadmap for your product area. Develop arguments with customer evidence and clear success metrics. Prioritize tasks as technical realities and customer needs evolve.
  • Drive cross-functional execution, coordinating daily across engineering, build, QA, and product marketing to maintain clarity on scope, dependencies, and progress from inception to launch.
  • Use Premiere Pro deeply and regularly—running through real editing workflows, stress-testing GPU-dependent features, and staying current on competitive tools like DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, and Final Cut.

What you need to succeed

  • 1–3 years of product management experience with a track record of owning a feature or product area end-to-end.
  • Working knowledge of video production and editing workflows. You grasp timelines, rendering, and the performance elements that are important to creators—and you're dedicated to developing deeper expertise quickly.
  • Technical curiosity and the ability to engage substantively with engineers on architectural tradeoffs, GPU workloads, and platform constraints—without needing to be an engineer yourself.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You can write a clear brief, make a coherent prioritization argument, and explain a complex tradeoff in plain language.
  • Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams and influence without authority. You're organized, reliable, and easy to work with.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action. You know when to move and when to slow down and ask questions.
