The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with both Snowflake and Databricks, with a proven background in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and modern data platforms.You will be responsible for supporting data migration activities, building and optimizing data pipelines, implementing transformation logic, and ensuring reliable data processing across Snowflake and Databricks environments.This is a remote contractor opportunity open to candidates based in any LATAM timezone. Spanish language proficiency is required.Main TasksSupport Snowflake-to-Databricks data migration activitiesDesign and implement scalable data pipelines in Snowflake and DatabricksDevelop data ingestion and transformation processes from various sourcesMigrate and optimize existing data workflows, ETL processes, and transformation logicBuild and maintain data transformations using SQL, Python, dbt, and other data engineering toolsWork with Databricks technologies, including Apache Spark-based data processingOptimize pipelines for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and maintainabilityAutomate data workflows and orchestration processes using tools such as Airflow or similar technologiesCollaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutionsEnsure data quality and reliability throughout migration and development processesQualificationsRequirementsSenior-level experience in Data EngineeringStrong hands-on experience with SnowflakeStrong hands-on experience with Databricks (DBX) and Spark-based data processingExperience with Snowflake-to-Databricks migration projects is highly preferredAdvanced SQL skills and experience with complex data transformationsExperience with Python and modern data engineering toolsExperience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline developmentExperience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or similarAbility to work independently in a remote contractor environmentFluent Spanish communication skills, Strong technical and business English (oral, reading and writing)Availability to work within LATAM time zonesAdditional InformationWhy us?Diverse projects - In each assignment, there is always something new, either on the technical or the business side, that helps you grow.Empowerment - Trust is a cornerstone of our culture.
