Accountabilities
- Lead the clinical development strategy for breast cancer programs across early and late-stage development, ensuring execution aligns with scientific, regulatory, budget, and timeline objectives.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for assigned development programs, guiding study design, execution, medical review, data interpretation, and key development milestones.
- Partner with regulatory, research, translational science, commercial, legal, and business development teams to support regulatory submissions and overall product development strategy.
- Represent clinical development in governance committees, strategic planning discussions, and scientific decision-making while contributing to disease area and portfolio strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical investigators, academic collaborators, and key opinion leaders to support study execution and scientific engagement.
- Lead scientific communications, including advisory boards, medical congresses, publications, and other external engagement activities that support clinical programs.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and evolving clinical evidence to inform strategic decisions and optimize development plans.
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and lead high-performing clinical development professionals while fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth across the organization.
- MD or equivalent medical degree with subspecialty training in hematology, oncology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or relevant academic clinical development experience; 10+ years preferred.
- Extensive expertise in oncology clinical development, including early- and late-phase clinical trials, regulatory strategy, and program leadership.
- Demonstrated experience leading clinical programs from study startup through execution, medical monitoring, database lock, regulatory interactions, and submission activities.
- Strong scientific background with the ability to translate complex clinical research into successful development strategies and commercially viable therapies.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams, mentoring talent, and driving organizational growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, organizational leadership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative global environment.
- Annual base salary ranging from $329,700 to $409,700, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
- Eligibility for an annual bonus or incentive compensation program.
