Associate Quality Specialist
Under direct supervision, implements programs within the functional area of the FPRA group. Supports the implementation of relevant Quality and Food Safety processes and procedures. Responsible for the daily execution of activities related area of expertise and focus.
Position Responsibilities
- Assists in designing and implementation of processes and procedures within assigned technical area(s) of responsibility.
- Participates on cross functional teams to assure effective implementation and adherence of QA initiatives and process improvement of our suppliers, under limited supervision.
- Performs assigned technical tasks/duties associated with department processes and procedures.
- Gathers and studies data to understand trends and issues and to make decisions related to product safety and quality in areas of assigned responsibility.
- Provides technical and decision-making support and analyzes data in managing situations and issues relative to quality and/or food safety as necessary.
- Interfaces/provides technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure regulatory compliance, food safety and quality of company’s products.
- Interfaces with company facilities to facilitate an ongoing effective relationship with packaging material suppliers.
- Evaluates effectiveness and assures continuous improvement in assigned areas of responsibility.
Position Qualifications
- BS in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field required.
- Minimum of 1 year industry experience required.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality systems and manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility.
- Familiarity in using continuous improvement tools (SPC, Capability Studies, etc.) and fundamentals.
- Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food packaging (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, USDA)
- Sound report writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated strength in setting an example for others.
- Troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills required.
- Minimal travel may be required. Must be able to travel independently and as a responsible company representative.
Physical Requirements

You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination.

This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation
Pay Range:$59,000-$79,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
