The Role
Every air shipment tells a story of precision, trust, and timing. As an Air Logistics Operational Care Manager, you’ll be the strategist behind that story, leading our Operational Care Centre to deliver customer‑centric excellence while maximising profitability. This role isn’t just about managing operations; it’s about driving solutions, shaping processes, and empowering your team to perform at their best. You’ll be the link between customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring every shipment reflects reliability, care, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example: Provide leadership and direction to the OCC team, acting as a role model for operational excellence.
• Deliver customer promise: Ensure high‑quality service delivery across all OCC activities.
• Drive profitability: Maximise results through cost optimisation and pricing strategies.
• Collaborate widely: Work closely with Customer Care, gateways, warehouses, customs, and KN Global Services to ensure seamless execution.
• Procurement & supplier management: Align with governance models to manage suppliers effectively.
• Continuous improvement: Monitor OCC performance, implement solutions, and drive sustainable enhancements.
• Ensure compliance: Uphold regulatory, industry, and KN standards across all operations.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, operations, and import/export regulations.
• 5–10 years’ experience in air logistics and freight forwarding.
• Leadership experience (direct and virtual teams, 2–5 years).
• Commercial acumen and ability to manage P&L.
• Good knowledge of carrier relationships and market dynamics.

• High attention to detail, organisational and decision‑making skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
